We made it! Arrived in Chiang Mai about midnight on July 3rd Kansas time. Here in Thailand it is lunch time on the 4th. The time difference is exactly 12 hours. Talk about being turned upside down. After a short rest we were off to meet the Hannah House girls. There are currently nine girls who are all college age and either attending a regular college or bible college. We had a fabulous time eating and playing games with the girls.
Schaun our mission pastor in green trying to dance and Paul attempting something with some of the girls from Hannah House.
Another game, sort of like hot potato but with baby powder. Let’s suffice to say we all ended up with powdered faces.
Our ride back to our hotel… definitely not the same road laws as back home. There were 8 of us in the back of a small pickup. Did I mention we are in the very large city of Chiang Mai, that is literally bursting with all kinds of transportation activity! Ahh Thailand!
Oh… and of course the traditional Thai greeting, performed by Ronald McDonald himself… sawatee kap.
It was a great day. But oh so tiring, jet lag gets me every time!
